PAROS ISLAND

The first thing that catches the eye of a guest arriving on the island is the windmills located in the port. And then you are immersed in the world of Cycladic architecture, especially in the area called “Fortress”.

Over the decades, Paros has established itself as a destination for active seaside holidays. Windsurfing enthusiasts consider it the best place in the world for their sport. But not only windsurfing is popular here, but also kiteboarding, water skiing, kitesurfing, scuba diving and kayaking.

The most popular among the “sports” beaches are Chrissi, Santa Maria and Punda, where the annual windsurfing world cup is held. But don’t think that all this is only for professional athletes. Along with Mykonos and Ios, Paros is the third island of the Cyclades that has become famous for its exciting nightlife, which is part of the reason why so many people choose the island for their holidays. Nightlife at Paros caters to all tastes, from romantic cocktails at a quiet beachfront bar to wild parties with loud music at clubs.

Parikia, the island’s capital, is home to numerous bars of different types. The old town’s paved alleys host several lovely bars, while the promenade between the windmill and the northern bay’s edge is full of bars, offering views of the Aegean Sea. The quaint Naoussa is the queen of Paros’ nightlife. The party never ends there since old fishermen’s warehouses situated on the cobbled streets have been transformed into bars.
